We headed toward Norris and saw an elk herd, then a lone bull and three cows in Elk Meadow. We saw more elk across from Artist Paint Pots.

We drove up Firehole Canyon Drive to the Firehole Falls. There were chipmonks all over the place in the rocks.

At Fountain Flats we saw five Sandhill Cranes out in the wetlands, but they were too far away to get a good picture.

We stopped at Fountain Paint Pot and walked the loop trail.
