We left Fountain Paint Pot and drove down Firehole Lake Drive. We stopped and waited for White Dome Geyser to erupt. THere was another couple there and they had the save vintage camera that we were using. That is the first time I saw someone else with that camera.
It was real cold and the wind was blowing. Just as we were ready to give up, White Dome Geyser erupted.
we left this area and proceeded toward Old Faithful. We stopped at Midway Geyser Basin and walked the loop trail.
We then drove down to Old Faithful and saw some bison on the way. On the road into Old Faithful, we saw another sort of wildlife. Three hippies, straight out of the sixties, looked like they were living out of their psychedelic van.
We stopped at the Old Faithful Visitor Center, but it was closed and it got too late to see Old Faithful. We ate at the Snow Lodge Restaurant and then headed back to the cabin at Lake. We drove pretty much straight through. We saw a few elk and bison on the way. At Duck Lake, there was a large bison right along the road.
