This is just an interim update. Most of the work that has been accomplished is not visible.
Due to problems encountered with the security system and AT&T Cell Phone coverage, we had too install a land line. That was not in the plans. The line was installed last week.
The Internet gateway should be installed next week before we arrive. This is needed for the "smart wiring" which will allow us to monitor and change the lighting and heat remotely. We have a block of IP addresses. We were able to go with our original plan but I will have to configure the routers
Installation of the kitchen cabinets and appliances is just about complete. There are pictures on our construction pages.
The final interior painting should be complete this weekend, weather permitting. The final trim work will be deferred until spring.
After the painting is completed the final work on the security system, smart wiring and the PTZ web cam can be finished.
The construction pages and the slide show have been updated.
Our next trip is from Saturday, January 30, 2010 through Sunday, February 7, 2010. We hope everything is completed, at least to the point that we can set things up. We do have reservations at a hotel so that is not a problem.
